From accelerating climate innovation to nurturing future leaders, 2025 saw the Temasek Trust ecosystem deepen our partnerships and strengthen our role in catalysing solutions for people and planet. It was a year of expanded capabilities, new collaborations, and continued momentum — marked also by our return to the refreshed Temasek Shophouse, our social impact hub.

TLL's Decarbonising Rice Project Wins GAEA Award

Backed by a 2022 grant from Temasek Foundation and US$5 million in philanthropic capital mobilised by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance, the Decarbonising Rice project will undergo large-scale field trials in Indonesia, India, and Laos.
Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory's Decarbonising Rice project received the Giving to Amplify Earth Action (GAEA) Award in the Climate, Nature, and Resilience Science category at the World Economic Forum’s 2025 Annual Meeting in Davos. The project integrates over two decades of research to cut methane emissions and water use while boosting rice yields, improving farmer livelihoods, and strengthening sustainable rice production across Asia.
MoneyOwl: Enabling Better Financial Security for All

MoneyOwl joined the Temasek Trust ecosystem and launched a new suite of financial planning resources to empower people to improve their financial security. Moving away from the direct sale of commercial products, MoneyOwl now focuses on providing actionable financial advice, while collaborating with like-minded partners to develop innovative solutions for underserved communities.
Advancing Cancer Innovation Through Collaborative Philanthropy

The Histotripsy system enables the use of ultrasound micro-pulses to melt away tumour tissue without surgery, radiation, or heat.
The Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF) and Temasek Trust jointly committed S$12 million to bring Histotripsy — a breakthrough non-invasive ultrasound tumour-removal technology — to Singapore. The National Cancer Centre Singapore and the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore each received a Histotripsy system, and a clinical trial is slated to begin by end-2025, initially focused on liver cancers.
The funding will be disbursed through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) managed by TT Foundation Advisors (TTFA). Through the DAF, TTFA aims to attract further support to catalyse future cancer research.
Philanthropy Asia Summit 2025: Priming Asia for Good
The Philanthropy Asia Summit (PAS) 2025 — co-located with Ecosperity Week — was the largest edition to date, bringing together over 1,100 speakers and delegates across 28 sessions in Singapore. Organised by the Philanthropy Asia Alliance with support from Temasek Foundation and Temasek Trust, it highlighted the power of collaborative philanthropy in advancing climate, education, and health solutions, and Asia’s role in shaping global progress.

Co-Axis Unveils Revamped Digital Impact Platform

Co-Axis launched its revamped digital impact marketplace at the Philanthropy Asia Summit this year, marking a transition from the Beta version of its website. Since then, Co-Axis has run more than 20 events and engagements connecting funders and founders, and unlocked over S$400,000 for various impact opportunities across its platform.
Temasek Foundation’s Climate-tech Challenges: Catalytic Funding for Innovative Solutions

Temasek Foundation's suite of sustainability challenges aims to catalyse breakthrough solutions and unlock Asia's potential for climate action.
The Liveability Challenge (TLC) 2025 — presented by Temasek Foundation (TF) and organised by Eco-Business — awarded S$1 million each to Singapore’s Krosslinker and Canada’s Ayrton Energy, the winners across the Decarbonisation and Cool Earth tracks. TLC is part of TF’s broader network of climate-tech competitions across the region, including the Climate Impact Innovations Challenge in Indonesia, the Net Zero Challenge in Vietnam, and the Green Future Innovation Challenge in China. These platforms crowdsource promising impact solutions and provide catalytic funding to de-risk and accelerate their commercialisation.
C3H: Accelerating Breakthrough Clean Energy Innovation

Catalytic Capital for Climate and Health (C3H), a catalytic vehicle of Temasek Trust, led the first close of Equatic’s US$11.6 million Series A along with Kibo Invest. The funding will help scale Equatic’s breakthrough seawater electrolysis technology, which boosts the ocean's ability to absorb carbon from the atmosphere. It builds on Equatic’s progress — from winning Temasek Foundation’s The Liveability Challenge in 2021 to becoming an Earthshot Prize finalist in 2024 — and accelerates its move toward commercial-scale deployment.
Charting Our Impact: Launch of the Inaugural Impact Highlights
The inaugural Impact Highlights — a collaborative publication by Temasek Trust, Temasek Foundation, and Temasek Trust Asset Management — was launched with contributions from across the ecosystem. Titled Pathways in Philanthropy: Catalysing Impact, it traces our journey and showcases how we are driving transformative solutions across the 4P priorities — Planet, People, Peace, and Progress — underpinned by Partnerships. It also spotlights the innovative approaches we are piloting and scaling with like-minded partners across sectors. Read the full publication.
Temasek Shophouse: Where Heritage Meets Community and Impact

The expanded Temasek Shophouse reopened to the public on 29 September 2025, now spanning four heritage shophouses and tripling its original floor space. The redesign transforms the 20th-century buildings into a modern hub for a growing community of changemakers, while offering welcoming spaces and experiences for the public to engage with heritage, culture, sustainability, and community. Steward Leadership 25 Awards: Recognising Solutions for People and Planet

The 2025 Steward Leadership 25 (SL25) Awards — curated by the Stewardship Asia Centre — saw record participation, with nearly 450 entries from 27 countries and 25 industries over four years. The 25 winners, recognised at the Steward Leadership Summit on 8 October, reflected a rising wave of sustained and scalable solutions for the environment and society that underscore Asia-Pacific’s growing momentum in doing well by doing good.
ABC Impact Investor Day: Celebrating Partnerships Since 2019

On 13 October, ABC Impact welcomed over 100 attendees to its annual Investor Day. The event brought together Limited Partners such as Temasek, Temasek Trust, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mapletree, and SeaTown Holdings International, alongside leaders from portfolio companies Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), DCDC Kidney Care, and Vistaar Financial Services Pvt Ltd.
At the heart of ABC Impact's work is its dual mandate — to deliver measurable social and environmental impact alonside strong, risk-adjusted financial returns.
Championing Asian Climate Innovators at Earthshot Week

Through the TEP Asia Youth Leaders Programme, Temasek Foundation and TPC (Tsao Pao Chee) supported 15 emerging climate leaders on a journey from Singapore to Rio de Janeiro — combining immersive learning journeys, storytelling workshops, and mentorship from across the Temasek Trust ecosystem. Their experience culminated at Earthshot Week, where they joined peers from Brazil and South Africa to spotlight climate solutions for a more sustainable future.
Biobanking: Creating a Biological “Safety Net” for Species

Since 2012, Mandai Nature has built a genetic “safety net” with frozen samples from over 140 species. This year, the team successfully extracted and stored live cells from 10 threatened bird species, a first in Singapore for non-mammal cells. Mandai Nature also co-hosted a two-day Asian Biobanking Workshop and Networking Forum, connecting over 40 experts to strengthen regional collaboration and advance conservation science in biobanking.
Amplifier 2025: Empowering Impact Innovators to Scale

The Amplifier 2025 — a year-long global mentorship programme by the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP) and the Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA) — launched with three new tracks:
- Innovation and Circularity in the Textile Value Chain
- Sustainability Transformation for SME Suppliers in Tourism
- Unlocking Opportunities and Breaking Down Barriers to Employment
Backed by over 70 partners, the Amplifier adopts a whole-of-ecosystem approach to support impact-driven start-ups with mentorship, professional services, market insights, and catalytic capital. The tracks kicked off with training weeks held from September to November 2025. Read more.
