Good afternoon. It is a privilege to join you at this Impact Assembly.

When The Earthshot Prize was launched in 2020, it carried a bold promise: to discover, accelerate, and scale the ideas that can put the world on a pathway to a stable climate, thriving communities, and restored nature by 2030.

At this halfway point in the decade, the imperative is clear: move from inspiration to implementation, from pilots to platforms, from promise to systems-level change.

That is why The Earthshot Prize matters. It does more than celebrate innovation. It builds the coalition around it — bringing innovators, investors, businesses, philanthropies, and policymakers together to turn ambition into outcomes.

Temasek Trust has been proud to be a Founding Partner since 2023, when The Earthshot Prize convened in Singapore. We seek to add value not only with funding, but also through our networks and capabilities to nurture the next generation of climate leaders and entrepreneurs.

Today, I am pleased to announce that Temasek Trust will extend our Founding Partnership with The Earthshot Prize for a further five years.

This is more than a renewal. It is a commitment to stay the course — with patient capital, trusted partnerships, and a shared bias for action.

Together, we also hope to deepen The Earthshot Prize’s reach across Asia — where the risks are acute, the needs urgent, and the solutions increasingly built at speed and scale.

We also want to connect innovators with capital providers through Co-Axis, which is a digital platform that serves as an impact marketplace to bring together inventors with investors, founders with funders. We are pleased to have many of you, as Earthshot winners and finalists, already on the platform. Our goal is to help turn visibility into viability, recognition into deployment, and promise into positive impact.

The solutions already exist. The capital exists. The networks also exist. What we need now is the courage and concerted effort to bring them together.

If we do this well, today’s Earthshot innovators will become tomorrow’s new normal — proof that progress can be practical, profitable, and profoundly human.
